The wedding day....

It was a perfect day to a new beginning. Surrounded by our family and close friends, we had a 11 minute ceremony which included a short message from Pastor Steve Klein, preaching from Genesis and Ephesians and then the exchange of our vows, which we both wrote. The kiss and signing of the marriage license! It's official! I'm now Mrs Jennifer Yzaguirre!

I'm getting married in 2 days!!!!

Packing, packing, packing...that has been my week. I found a renter for my townhouse, so between work, I have been packing and cleaning like a mad man! But I'm out and officially no longer have a place to live on Whidbey Island. Boy do Tim and I have our work cut out for us, when we get back!

We leave TOMORROW for Oahu and I'm so excited. Both Tim and I have been super cautious this week, washing our hands, because it seems like everyone around us, is sick! "Ugh don't come to work people!" Hopefully our OC has paid off!

Now it's time to pamper...I see a pedicure and manicure in my future today!

I'm so excited to get to this 80 degree weather that I have seen fore casted! And I'm so excited to marry my bestfriend!

41 days and counting....Aloha

It still seems like an eternity, but the count down has begun. I'm packing up my stuff, getting rid of old stuff, and slowing moving my stuff into storage, as I work towards renting out my townhouse.

Why is it that the girl has all the major changes to prepare for..name change...license, uniforms, social security card, medical, and all the other stuff!???

My dress is altered and hemmed. I have two bridal showers to look forward too this coming month!

Tim and I met with the caterer last week, and sampled some of the delicious food that we will be serving at the Luau (reception)! It is gonna be fun!

Oahu Hawaii-Wedding location

Tim and I have decided to have a destination wedding! We will be getting married in Oahu, Hawaii April 3rd, 2012 on the beach. We've decided we just want to have a small ceremony with family. Tim gets to wear shorts and flip flops, the wedding of his dreams! Beach location still undecided, however photographer and minister finalized! We plan to have a WA reception when we return!

Engagement and Crossfit

Well we asked our friend Sarah if she would be willing to snap a few photos for fun! And since we love to crossfit and love to be with each other, what a better way to capture the moment then at the gym!

The future Mr. & Mrs Yzaguirre!!!!

Oh my goodness...it use to be "are you guys engaged yet?" "Come on Tim, what are you waiting for!" Now it's..."when's the date?" "Where are you getting married?" "Have you reserved a place yet?"

Well this engagement experience is going to be stress free! And very "non-traditional." It will also not be a long engagement! :)

Tim and I will begin planning soon, but with the mindset of "no credit cards, no debt!" That is our sole mentality, which we plan to continue in our marriage. I believe we can have all the bells and whistles, without it being crazy expensive and stressful. Maybe it's my 4 years of catering background, or the 7 weddings I've been in, or the 28+ weddings I have attended over the years...? But I'm not going to spend money where it's not necessary, and instead I will be put our money, where it's going to be a good investment!

The wedding will be this spring, but the date and location are still to be determined. And don't think I won't be entering my name in every wedding $$ drawing from here on out either! Hey if it's God will, maybe He'll bless me there too! But right now I have joy and excitement inside, especially while I flip thru my first "wedding" magazine and start looking at beautiful dresses!
